Pursuing this clan advantage requires more work than most others. It requires an understanding of what the daughters are, where they come from, and Astrally traveling to the plane that fuels Melpomene, The World’s Stage. This experience can be cast as a Melpomene ritual (Level 4) that requires at least one other master of Melpomene and a truly prodigious amount of hallucinogenics. Talk to staff. Each grant a new Masterpiece that the Child may use instead of Shattering Crescendo. Technically a Daughter could learn all 5 of them, but each spiritual journey is very hard on the Daughter and requires some amount of reattuning her soul. A daughter can keep one Harmony going reflexively after taking an action to begin the song.

  • Conduit of Secrets: The Enigma is a confusing mixture of sharp sounds. The daughter sings and makes the scene hard to remember and fuzzy in the minds of the participants. After the scene ends, everyone involved in affected as though forgetful mind was used, replacing Stealth with Expression. All they remember is the song.
  • Conduit of Journeys: The Ballad is a slow song that digs deep into a target's memories. The Ballad stirs up feelings of nostalgia in all who hear it making them remember those memories they hold most fondly. This song makes combat more difficult, as no one can really put their heart into it. All offensive actions intending to harm another take a 5-trait penalty. Even the most violent criminals have a hard time killing when they can't stop thinking about the past.
  • Conduit of Battles: The Fury is a loud fast song, usually involving shouting. As long as the daughter sings, the difficult of all Self control tests is increased by one. Additionally, anytime a character succeeds on a Self Control test; the Daughter may spend Willpower to make them test a second time.
  • Conduit of Serenity: The Lullaby lulls everyone into a state of peace and relaxation. Anyone with a willpower lower than the Daughters Self-control falls over and feels a moment of pure unadulterated bliss. Anyone with a higher willpower gets a test. Caster’s socials vs Defenders mentals. No skill. THe target can spend willpower for a second test. The feeling can be rather addictive (there’s a test for repeated exposure.) The Daughter is subject to her own power but automatically succeeds as long as her willpower is higher than her Self-Control.
  • Conduit of Endings: The Dirge ruins rends life and brings scenes to their natural conclusion. The Daughter may keep the song going as a free action once started. At the end of each round (10 seconds outside of combat), everyone present in the scene takes one unsoakable Aggravated damage.
  • The Web of Harmony: Oddly enough, this Harmony is most easily learned by Sons of Discord and not Daughters. The Son begins singing a song that defies expectations, a fusion of two different styles of music that seems to clash but doesn't. So long as he sings and does nothing else on his action, he may spend his skill retests for other participants in the scene. He may either Spend all his retests to grant the target one additional retest above their maximum or make the test in their place, using his skills for them.
