The art of manipulating Nodes to change the power levels of Nodes and Spirits on them. Time-consuming. Craft/ Expression - Geomancy. Doesn't actually make things. Just tells you how to move buildings and infrastructure to affect spirit world. The Basic process and outline is below.


Survey: First you make an occult chop of difficulty 3 to see if the land is suitable to build a node on. If it isn’t it takes double the total actions to build a node on the location.


Crafting: Creating a node is a Craft or Expression check with a difficulty = to 10 times the level of the node. Having an appropriate influence lowers the check by half for building the typed node. Each Craft action put towards the node’s construction lowers the difficulty by 1. Nodes must be built to the next level in order you cannot make a level 10 node instantly. You must make a level 1 node first and then improve it 1 step at a time.


Equipment: Nodes can be used as equipment worth the node's rating*2 traits for any skill by spirits of the same aspect so long as they have permission from the node spirit.

Nodes provide their rating in traits to any type of rite casting performed on the node if the spirit allows it.

Nodes provide their rating in points to dynamic magick if the spirit of the node allows it.


Energy: Level 4+ Nodes can provide an extra energy to any supernatural once per night if the spirit of the node allows it, generally for a favor. Nodes provide double that energy boost to creatures aligned with their aspect. Vampires get blood, Fera get gnosis, Hunters get health back etc.


Node aspects: Nodes are aspected the same as the spirits on them, changing the aspect of the spirit is about as difficult as making a node of the same level the spirit already is, though hard flips, say death to natural are sometimes harder, or easier depending on the method.

Death - Health/emergency services (Wraiths/vampires/geists)

Demonic - Underworld/Finance (Vampires/Nephandi/BSDs/Banes)

Ephemeral - High Society/Resort (Changelings/Fera)

Fated - Occult/Emergency services (Mages/Beasts)

Humanitas - Media/Religion (Hunters/prometheans)

Mechanoi - Bureaucracy/Industry (Demons)

Natural - Street/Construction (Fera)


There are nodes in other realms but nodes are most common in gaia. Some realms that have other nodes include: The shard realms, pangea, elemental realms, the underworld, heaven, the dreaming, malfeas.
