Gauntlet Cloak

Type: Basic Paradox: N/A Challenge: Socials(Arete) vs 10 traits Cost: 1Q Duration: 1 scene

  • Short cast: With a successful basic arete check the Dreamspeaker cloaks themselves in the gauntlet and can act simultaneously as if they were behind it and in front of it. This spell lasts for the scene and can only be cast once per night. The next (Spirit) rotes they cast do not accrue paradox, and sleepers forget the Dreamspeaker was there at the end of the scene, rationalizing them away or fleeing in terror as the delerium whichever is safer for the sleeper.

Type: Passive Paradox: N/A Challenge: Mentals(Arete/occult) vs rite difficulty Cost: 1Q Duration: 1 scene

  • Short cast: The mage who learns this rote can choose (Spirit) rites from the following list they can cast as actions with no paradox backlash. They may cast these rites with arete or occult. They can also cast these rites instantaneously if appropriate.
    • Rite of opened caern
    • Rite of contrition
    • Rite of open skies
    • Rite of opened bridge (travels from node to node)
    • Rite of spirit awakening
    • Rite of becoming
  • Long cast: Wonder: The Dream Speaker can cast this spell to Create their Spirit in Talens.

Manifest Avatar

Type: Basic (Helper) Paradox: +2 if witnessed Challenge: Mentals(Arete) vs 10 traits Cost: 1Q Duration: 1 scene

  • Short cast: : A mage who masters this rote learns to manifest and animate their own avatar half and control it with the spirit sphere. The avatar takes the form of 1 of 3 totem spirits to aid the dreamspeaker. The dream speaker can switch between any of the 3 by spending an additional Q at the top of the round. Once invoked this spell lasts for the scene.
    • Wolf: The wolf can make a single attack with (Spirit) brawl retests and your physicals at the end of the round that deals 3A damage, the wolf can attack anyone in the room it can see, the wolf is a halper power like an obten tentacle and takes up your helper.
    • Snake: Snake coils around the dreamspeaker, letting them soak 1 damage from all sources automatically. If the dreamspeaker is in a grapple the snake can bite for 2A, replacing their normal bite. This extra soak is ignored by gold weapons.
    • Eagle: Eagle Beats its wings and carries the dreamspeaker on a tailwind, a number of targets equal to the dreamspeaker (Spirit) gain the ability to fly at their normal speed +2 steps. Eagle can also pierce obfuscate effects with an effective auspex rating of the dreamspeaker’s (Spirit)+2.
